Self-Evaluation Training has been completed for Graduate Programs at AKU.
The articles in the fourth part of the Education Legislation (8 March 2021) ensure self-evaluation and peer review for program monitoring, evaluation, and accreditation for programs that maintain to accept students. In addition, the specified items define the procedures and principles regarding the program self-evaluation and peer evaluation processes.
The program self-evaluation team should prepare the report in July every year for every program that maintains to accept students according to article 11/2 of the relevant legislation.
For this purpose, a meeting was held on 20 July 2022 about Self-Evaluation processes by Vice-Quality Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Koray Kasapoğlu. In this meeting, the reasons for self-evaluation, the importance of self-evaluation in the quality processes determined by YÖKAK, the legal basis of our University, and the theoretical infrastructure in educational sciences were discussed.
In addition, Asked to determine a self-evaluation team by the manager of the unit for each department according to article 4/1/v. of the relevant legislation “In every program that accepts students, the team determined by the head of the department, consisting of the head of the department and two department members and/or the graduates of the department”.
Training videos that are about the creation of self-evaluation teams and how the process would be managed. on self-evaluation processes were shared within the scope of in-service training, via the distance education system. In this in-service training, there are videos on how the unit managers and evaluation team will use the ÜBYS Program Module and self-assessment criteria. Forms and guides are also included in the in-service training.
